After a series of personal and professional challenges coupled with the grind that accompanies owning several small business, Shane began to burn out in a big way. Happiness was eluding him. During this period he found that being in nature – walking with his dogs, sunsets, and being under the stars – helped ground him and feel more at peace.  He began documenting these things at first with his iPhone and then realized he’d like to pursue photography more seriously. In December, 2015 Shane purchased a Canon 1DX and a variety of never-ending lenses and accessories and hasn’t looked back. Landscapes, the night sky, storms, wildlife, abandoned rural properties, and travel are his favourite areas of photography and admits that the final photo is just an excuse to get away from it all.

Prints are available. Unlike other photographers who farm their printmaking out to third-party, online companies, Shane is involved in every step of the printmaking process; from colour correction, to sizing and paper selection, to shipping. This ensures the highest level of quality and customer service for every order.

As of 2018, prints are made in editions of three only (plus a large scale artist proof for exhibition). That means only three prints of an image will ever be made available to the public. Minimum print size is 14×20″ and all prints are made on Ilford Silk Baryta paper using the finest printmaking techniques available. Pricing begins at $199 for edition 1/3 (depending on size) and goes up from there. Many images have met their edition size and are no longer available.
